The strings of reality,
What a dreadful vibe.
Just when things are going well they turn the tide.
Like a slap in the face with force of wonder,
Leaving one in awe like the roar of thunder.
Why must it be, so crude: the world?
The changes is brings are oh so cruel.
Does it hate me that much to torture and torture?
To this I blame all of my misfortune.
Wrong is it, to blame something so natural?
But I just can’t stand how much all this is truly actual.
How long must I stand on these nostalgic feet?
It’s sucking up my sanity like an ingrown leech.
I pray for my sanity, be it all in vain,
Hoping for the day that I’m normal again.
To be able to accept the world, as an ever changing wonder.
And finally walk away from this rural somber.
But at the current present, I’m sorry so to say,
Trepidation and indifference block my way.
There’s no path of light, in my near future,
for I must first attend my wounds, in need of suture.
But to my misfortune, I lack the will,
To force my hands to perform such a drill.
So I simply force my steps and with ache walk past,
As the strings of reality, have one last laugh.
