Just laying here thinking over plans for the next week
And I remember how we have failed to speak
Oh sure words passed between us only sound
I think we were both looking to the ground
The tension has been building over time
To a point we don’t compliment any rhyme
A tear swells in my eye as I recall so much good
Our dual thoughts, wishes and things we should
They all seem lost and now we pay the fee
So my plans for next week now include you and me
We can rebuild to where we will be happy more
I cannot let go and I don’t know what could be in store
I just know in my heart we have something special, us two!
We can be happy, make a new better life, between me and you

I believe your poem summarizes this feeling of necessity that many times is a blender of desires and fears; when you are praying, even if you are not.
Goods play words, rythm and rime combines.
