Awaiting the Day I Shatter, Fragment and Disolve

Contributed by ed on Saturday, 29th March 2003 @ 04:45:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

My pupils are radars.
They foresee anxiety.
Locking on, the unease is drawn in,
Channeled through dazed eyes
And deposited in my brain.
It's left to stockpile in the minds rearmost cage.
Seal-proof, air-tight intrapment.
There's no release, no pressure valve.
Pressure builds up.
I start to ache,
Sweat, jolt and shake.
Fear shoots through my body.
Through my veins, around and around and around again.
When will I shatter?
Fragment into dust?
Disolve into the air?
I'm awaiting that day.
In the meantime I will pray.

Good poem, i like the way you convey your thoughts in this clever and passionate way, imagination and creativity is the best way to beat down your demons.
