Growing Up

Contributed by bucksportwaldo on Monday, 6th July 2009 @ 12:31:56 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

his first air of breath was golden fresh
he was a newborn
and he grew as most newborns do
he grew to a toddler
curious and attention hungry
and from a toddler he grew into a teenager
listening to his loud loud music
hanging out with friends
making mistakes all along his trail
and from a teenager he grew up to be a young man
he went off to college to fufill his dreams
along the way he met a woman
he graduated college and got married
he grew into an adult
he had a house
he had a car
he had love
and then there was another breath of fresh air
and this boy was his boy
and he watched his boy grow from a newborn to a toddler
and from a toddler to a teenager
and from a teenager to a young man
and from a young man to an adult
and all along the way he saw
love goes a long way
from that first breath of golden fresh air
to the last stale breath of everlasting life
