Sometime in the darker places of our thoughts
We let our good nature rot
The moonless midnight of the mind
Shadows everything it’s darkness can find
You’ll think thought’s of hate
You won’t question or debate
Why you do so you just do
You hate for no reason it’s not just you
Everyone has a darker place in their thoughts
Where they let their kind nature rot
And on the moonless midnight of their mind
They think bad thoughts about everyone and all from all of time
Never with a reason just a simple thought
That causes our good nature to rot
In the moonless midnight of the mind
We lose our self and go blind
Unable to see
The good inside of people
Only if we escape the darkness
Will we be granted sight

Great poem. I can relate to this. In fact I was kind of thinking of this topic this weekend. I ran into a woman I hated on meeting her. I was asking myself why I didn't like her, I just knew I didn't. I can usually see goodness in everyone, but life has has exceptions. Darkness often shadows goodness in life. Awesome piece of writing! Great flow!
