Darks clouds linger for so long now.
It’s been raining for years on end.
Thunder chases the sky’s only light.
Scary to think, the sun is dead.
Through devastating storms
I smile on brighter days.
When Innocence ran free
And fun was life’s one way.
I’m hopeful so I still believe
I’ll find the forest through the trees.
I’m patient so I’m waiting for
The calming eye inside the storm…

Terrific poem. I can truly relate to this. I have had a stormy life lately and hope for a sunny existence. I love this! I will have to read more of your works. Great job!
