Drop your eyes! Run away!
It's dangerous, they say
so if you should pass on the street--
and by chance, his gaze you should meet--
If secrets you hold dear,
then his eyes you should fear.
you quiver and squirm
in a vain attempt to worm
your soul from his eyes to make free
but soon the truth you shall see
You'll know what is wrong
that you gazed too long
at the boy with the staring eyes.
