Angels Tears

Another morning
Somewhere else
I lay alone
All by myself
And wallowed in
The early sun
Before the day
Had yet begun
My eyes were closed
I felt its rays
As soft they danced
Upon my face
It's silky fingers
Stroked my skin
I felt it's warmth
From deep within.
A single cloud
Came drifting by
From east to west
Across the sky
It's brilliant white
Against the blue
Gave sparkle to
The morning dew
That clung on to
The bluebell flowers
As if to mimic
April showers
Reminding me
Of Angel's tears
That glisten once
Then disappear.
I hear a sound
It sounds so near
A tiny bird
Who shows no fear
I glance around
And catch his stare
He hops up close
Without a care
The little bird
Now sings his song
He makes me smile
And sing along
Before the bird
Takes to the sky
And joins the cloud
That's passing by.
