''REQUIEM FOR A DEATHLESS ONE...''

Contributed by WraithX on Sunday, 28th June 2009 @ 02:23:22 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I lay here in this bed of my own design
Close my eyes and wait silently
For the icy last caress
Cold and black surround me
Comfort me, place all my senses at ease
Broken thoughts trample through my mind
Cascading further, and echoing my insanity
As I languish here, I feel calmness
Love, fear, hope, sorrow, regret
For a fleeting moment I ponder
Their significance in the grand scheme
For an instant you brought me forth into the light
Out of my unfading darkness
Your words brought life to my tortured soul
A spark of love was ignited within me
Inside a heart believed long since dead and hollow
It was not to be, love withered away
My heart betrayed me and now I am empty
Everything is as it was
The tears have ceased to flow
This is my binding epitaph
My dark is eternal and unbroken
Death greets me with a grin and her cold embrace and
Whispers
"This is not the end, just the beginning..."
