A noise heard here and there
Heard from this corner
Heard from that corner
Heard from all corners.
A growl from a Bangladeshi tiger.
A hoot from an Egyptian owl.
A neigh from an Icelandic horse.
A hiss from an Australian snake.
A roar from an American bear.
A bark from a British dog.
A trumpet from an Indian elephant.
A screech from a Tasmanian devil.
A splash from a South African shark.
A buzz from a Canadian bee.
A meow from a Turkish cat.
A moo from an Argentinean cow.
A snap from an Indonesian crocodile.
A quack from a French duck.
A ribbit from a Cuban frog.
An eek from a Sri Lankan mouse.
A baa from a Norwegian sheep.
A yawn from a Senegalese lion.
A scream from a Costa Rican monkey.
A chirp from a Chinese panda.
A moan from a Saudi Arabian camel.
A howl from an Italian wolf.
Loud and quiet noises
Heard from all over the world
Heard by me and you
Noises that keep the world awake.

You forgot to hear the cheep from a Brazilian canary. But I forgive you, ok? (It's just a joke)
I did an equivalent poem. But, don't worry, it's not based on yours.
I liked poem, very ecological and, implicity, awareness about the animals.
Bye, bye.

Hmmm... I too need to try a few list poems sometime. Nice, it seems to find its own pattern of flow. The style matches the poem posted just after it. |
