selfstruggles

Flickering eyes dancing
on the woman with wide hips
almond shaped with the honey hair
Oh baby, you make all the boys stare.
Who you are, what you are
they don't care.
The user, the abuser
pockets full of ashes, calls your name
Will you answer? Will you answer?
She realizes the healing began
no more self destruction, but you'll always be
self destructive
What's a lover, what's a partner?
kisses on a rope, handfuls full of dope
your pills, your "black magic woman"
can't escape the music in her drunken haze.
Lines on the table, an addiction or a phase?
numb, never numb
Waiting, will tomorrow come?
Under your hands, under your eyes
the flicker is a light that dies.

Very distressing story, very powerful ending. More excellent use of emotive imagery.
