Stay Calm

Topic: selfstruggles

It very much upsets me,
it makes me want to scream,
but soon after I scream at him,
it lets of all the steam.
Its so tricky,
to stay calm when he screams in my face,
its easier to do nothing,
and write poetry in a different place.
So maybe instead of yelling back,
I'll keep quiet and show kindness to him,
even if he sometimes might be vile or grim.
I know what the bible says,
be kind to others,
now that I know,
maybe if I show thoughtfullness,
my peace with my brother will grow.
