Gentle Suicide

Contributed by bigbadblinkybill on Thursday, 25th June 2009 @ 03:24:43 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

lay on my back i stare at the sky,
at the gentle clouds as the pass by,
little white plumes in the sky so blue,
i imagine shapes and dream of you.

the warm hot sun it burns my skin,
i feel the heat from deep within,
but the cold blue sky turns into grey,
the sun is cold and fades away.

i look up at the rooftiles of the ward so bleak,
i hear the heart monitor and its infernal beep.
the medic rush to save my life,
that i tried to end with this razor shap knife.

the coats of doctors are the faded white,
just like my heart as i give up the fight.
slowly do i drift away
into the dust of another day.

into a meadow i do run,
i feel the gentle breeze and the beating sun.
i am truely one with me,
i've lost my pain
and its set me free.
