As I sit here and think about life
I wonder what God has in store for me...
There are so many things unclear
and filled with so much uncertainty...
But as I walk down this road called life
I'm bound to find many ups and downs...
I'm faced with many obstacles
that constantly bring me frowns...
I think of yesterday, today and tomorrow
Sometimes I'm just not sure of what to do or where to go...
And As I walk I struggle,
for it is Gods will I want to know...
Where do I walk and how will I be sure
I walk through the valleys and the mountains
And I also walk against the wind...
I'm sure if miss just one step
from square one again I must begin....
Walk in his word they tell me
And many times I've read this too...
But its so much easier to say,
And it feels like the hardest thing to do...
There is a war going on inside
I'm battling with the flesh...
The overwhelming desire to do what I want,
Though what I want is not what's best...
What do I do, how do I sustain...
How do I make it past all this pain....
I found myself so lonely and confused,
Without someone in whom I can Confide...
So, Alone in my pain I must stay
And all my feelings as always I must hide...
Here I go again walking around as if
there was nothing wrong...
And yet inside me Can't you see,
that there's a raging storm...
All my emotions, feelings and desires
are altogether ready to explode...
One day I'm going to go insane
Because of all these things that go untold....
I've told a person or two some or most of how I feel...
No one But God and the ink that expresses these feelings
knows whats really real...

Great piece of writing. I have had similar struggles, but the important thing is never to lose your faith. If takes bad times to appreciate the good in life.

| You sum up the struggle of the Christian walk very well. I know I have felt this way also. Your poem reflects the struggle it is sometimes to hold your head above the water and keep your eyes on the Son as you are battered by the waves of life. Don't lose faith that He is there! |
