My life ticks by one minute at a time
I keep lying to myself, saying everything is fine
Traveling a path I hate
Even when the decisions that got me there were mine
Maybe I was led here by fate
Some greater being using me for a plan I can't contemplate
As the clock ticks down I reject myself
Locked in my room, not eating or socializing
Growing pale and thin, losing any sense of health
Who cares if being a loner and starving is wrong
I might not hate being around people and having a life
If only people treated me like I belong
