One More Day

Topic: Lifepoems

If the Lord came to me one day,
And he said to me,
"You only have one more day, what will you do?"
I'd have to tell him,
"If I only had one more day,
I'd breathe a little slower,
So that I didn't breathe in so much poison.
I'd walk a little slower,
So that I could look longer at beautiful things.
I'd speak a little slower,
So that my voice could be heard a little more,
And hopefully remembered a little longer.
I would love a little more,
So that more people could see my affection.
I'd work a little less,
So that I can have a little more fun.
But most of all,
I'd meet more people.
Because the more friends you have,
The more you are loved."
