A simple tear from you can take away my day
Seconds, run into minutes, run into hours, it’s all the same
I can’t decide what matters even in the heaviest rain
You’re not here with your umbrella to take away the pain

Seconds, run into minutes, run into hours, run into days
The rain, the pain, different days, but it’s all the same
Laughter, tears, it’s all the same - when there’s rain
Your touch is all I need to take away my pain

A simple word from you can stop time in its place
Seconds, run into minutes, run into hours, it’s all the same
Every sound disappears, even that of the rain
With your sweet, sweet song - only it stops the pain
