Happy Birthday
I know you told me no presents,
May be you'll like this poems content.
You are a wonderful Gentleman,
Helping me with my life plan.
You help soothe old wounds,
And I hope that doesn't end soon.
You wonder why I have never written a poem about you,
Because my poems are always so blue.
This poem won't make the tribute you deserve,
Here are a few things I don't say when we converse.
I appreciate everything you do;
I love how you make sure I am happy too.
You have helped make me the happiest I have ever been,
Because of you more of the world I have seen.
I know you never expect to be repaid for this amazing opportunity
I try to express my gratitude for your generosity.
Thank you for loving me,
And constantly fighting for me.
Making me realize I am of value,
Because I do love you.
