Blindfold of Negativity

A decade of marriage has flown by and between you and I;
My vision is still crystal clear, but yours is wearing a blindfold of negativity.
We were once as happy as can be lying on a blanket under the blue sky;
Now all I can do is hope to escape in the world of creativity.
I grabbed you close for a big hug, and you pushed me away like a gross bug;
All you could ask me was if something was wrong.
I thought a hug was as enticing as a drug;
You have punctured my heart with a numbing prong.
What has caused this blindfold to cataract your vision?
I should be able to give my guy a gesture of love.
My passion is dying away due to all the rejecting incisions;
What is it that makes you push me away with an apathetic shove?
I will not give up on removing that blindfold of negativity from your face,
Even if it takes my last breath of life.
I would like to remove this blindfold and then a smile will take its place;
Soon I am afraid your cold blindfold will stun my faith in love with its fatal knife.
