I can’t breathe
There isn’t enough time in between heartbreaks to catch my breath
When you dream
While your withered and dangling
You aim low
You know you’re not worth it,
You can’t even feel safe to think in your own head.
You can’t picture your face in a written fantasy.
What’s a life if it can’t be fixed?
What’s a fantasy if it can’t be dreamt?
It’s a nightmare,
One long road that just won’t end.
No step you make goes forward
Instead you’ll take three steps back.
If you can’t be repaired,
Then the road won’t end
At least not until you reach the edge of the earth,
But a way to escape,
Escape the pain,
Escape your crippled heart,
Escape the darkness,
Is there anything else you can ask for?
