I am a tree in the desert,
I'm like fingernails caked in dirt.
I am an old lady kneeling at the alter,
and like a pound down the back of the sofa.
I am a one night stand,
I am a grain of sand.
I am drunk at breakfast,
like a British soldier in Belfast.
I am a cow for the slaughter,
a fish out of water.
I am a fire fanned by a dry wind,
like an enemy disguised as a friend.
I am life in a galaxy,
a picture of insanity.
I am a candle in church,
I am the last place you search.
I am BBC gardener of the year.
I am just a man with a beer.
I am the lost eighth that I hid.
I am a Palestinian kid.
I am a wolf amongst sheep,
and a sheep amongst wolves.
I am not in the zone.
I'm like a friendless souls headstone.
I'm over grown.
