No Better

My dying day draws ever closer
With these few last breaths, my heart grows colder
Who am I to choose when I should die
And who are you to ask for the reasons why

Should I wish it was different?
Could I stay here in all my sin?
Would you help me choose which way to go?
Or would you stay still, only pretending you know?

Dust rises over the cities
It covers all who can not pity
Pull your nose up
Let's play dress up
And pretend you're better than me

I've been laid out on the ground
Intently listening to every sound
I wonder when you will return
I wonder when it's my time to burn

You say you understand
But never do you offer your hand
You're no better
Than me...

Dust rises over the cities
It covers all who can not pity
Pull your nose up
Let's play dress up
And pretend you're better than me

Don't you see now? Can't you see?
That, you're not better than me
I rest my arms, my wrists, my heart
I lay here now, dead and ripped apart!

Dust rises over the cities
It covers all who can not pity
Pull your nose up
Let's play dress up
And pretend you're better than me

You will never be
Any better than me
I may be gone,
But just wait and see

You're no better
Than me

I liked it, especially the chorus.
