Alas, time still progresses and she undresses for the demons and beasts I'd spill my veins to defeat. And I watch from afar as her cuts turn to scar, knowing that it is only my love that can heal her and shield her from the pain I could turn to pleasure. But she never takes her eyes away from the day to day and aims them towards me for she would have had to see the way I was looking back.
