Cold and misery

Slinking back into the dark,
A decaying hand around my ankle,
Cold and strong. The chill here,
In this room, again it doesn’t affect
The girl who doesn’t change,
The failure that can‘t succeed,
The hopeless and this useless being.
No, there’s no hope in this home.
Where you’re looking at me now,
Where I become part of your world,
I don’t belong. I can’t stay away
From the light, though it blisters.
Your hands, all of your hands,
Outstretched and lonely. I know,
The pain needs soothing and warmth,
But I have nothing but cold and misery.
