Couldn't see her eyes through the glare of the red light,
darkness in a foreign city but the kids are alright.
drowning, in the bitumen alleyways, 2 k's, from our hostel room
tripping, in a dutch gay bar, so far from where the night began
Chewing gum made patterns on the pavement that night,
and if our friends could have seen us oh what a sight
purchasing, powder from a street vendor, drug bender, turned out to be washing detergent
walking, the red light district windows, sex shows, epitomy of window shopping
Paying ten euros for a beer, the money is tight,
hiding from clowns in the small bar they gave us a fright
chasing, an imaginary comet, fluorescent vomit, in the bushed by the path
panicking, in the cab home, too stoned, to pay the taxi fare
