teardrops fallen. . . evaporate
I've stayed too long
within myself
lingering
dwelling
don't come closer. . . don't reach
or I'll have to recede
wait until the end
of the song. . .
it's all or nothing
it's only
me. . .

Sounds a lot like the place where I am nowadays.. Over the pain and silent. Too fearful and/or no longer used to it to allow others to get close... And I like the last two stanzas.. Strong, resolute finish. Short and beautifully direct. Regardless of it all, your still here and that's all that matters.
Another great write Elle!
