Of Dreams

Contributed by Inevitable on Tuesday, 9th June 2009 @ 06:42:03 PM in AEST
Topic: mystical

I was trying to be beautiful
when you walked into my dreams
and caused so much devastation
I felt the wind upon my bare shoulders
I wanted to be pure, to be clean
So I let my hair down, and walked nude
amongst a flooded nation
Oh what it took, to lose such things as shame
to walk dignified against the weight of your words.
skin and flesh and bones
and waves of hair to fall,
carelessly about pale shoulders
A woman in the mist, the dawn of revolution
to cradle, to love, to suffer, to sin, to repent and cry
to damn you, to damn me,
to lead us to salvation
Barefoot, blood shed
to hurt just to feel
To feel you always wanting me
To hate me for not wanting you
To want you in a different sense
your body won't allow.
This woman walks for peace,
yet peace will never come
this world is full of sinners
and so we divide,
meant to part like the sea.
