Perfection seemed so much better,
When it belonged to me.
Beauty seemed so much more desirable,
Before it belonged to she.
Humor seemed so much funnier,
When it was I who smiled.
Age seemed of no importance,
Before it deemed me a child.
Words seemed so much more enticing,
When they were telling me I was the one.
Intellegence seemed so much more valuable,
Before it turned to she who had none.
All these things seemed like they were there for me,
When I thought we had a chance together.
He seemed like everything I ever wanted,
Before he left me forever.

There's definitely a lot going on in this poem.
It was well written and quite expressive.
Good job! |

A very poignant piece of work
Sometimes our own mind convinces us that something or someone is right for us, when all the evidence suggests they are wrong
