when it comes to seeing truths, put down your books.
it turns out the truth; the truth is harder than your looks.

winding down, the stairs grow steadily steeper.
wandering, wondering, how you've delved even deeper.

the rhythm never rendered the rhyme?
the lead just let lust sever time?

a flint, a flame, and blank eyes blacking out.
an itch, a scratch, a scream, and a scout.

when it comes to seeing truths, open your eyes.
it turns out the truth's right in front of your lies.
