I extend the purpose of my plight
With each word I continue to write
To battle what could undo
And to show my love just for you

And somehow if I may
Your hand in mine one warm day
A task, a desire, I’ll never tire
With each day my love grows higher

For just a thought of romance
Your arm in mine as we dance
The warmth and scent of your allure
For this yearning heart you are the cure

I beckon thee a soft loving kiss
For when apart it is you I miss
To see you smile from morning to night
I extend the purpose of my plight
