I suppose there’s a positive
how else are we to know
the importance of love
without a broken heart
how else are we expected
to give ourselves so fully
until we know the gravity of it?
But excuse me if I fade
I’ll leave self-preservation
to those who have hope
who look forward to summer
I’ll not laugh for now
in this cold place
after my dawn died
I hear their clucks
I see them shaking their heads
”there’s someone out there for you”
”you are still young enough”
But I suppose there’s a positive
at least you once held me
and promised to be mine
at least I’ve learnt again
just how careful to be
with this damaged soul.

The bush that is pruned is the one that blooms best. Loss and pain are very much a part of love and when the time is right, you'll be back in that special place.
Very good job,
Keep it up!
