Song of Hope
Starching my tiny wings - took off
with a weary yawn, as it dawned
beyond the horizon, with hope,
in search of hope.
Eager for a glimpse on earth
for human to act atypical,
years gone by
- to hear some lively cry
for a change, to give hope a
living chance.
Rattling machine guns,
tossed thundering grenades,
screaming blameless folks,
clatter of death and distraction was
the year passed by, I flew then
and I do now, changed not
a glimpse that I saw then for now.
Give hope a living chance
is my hearts’ song; that may be
a noise too many, to you
- yet I sing hoping you to may
sing my song of hope.
Me a mere tiny bird hopeful of hope; hoping
with prayers, this day ahead may bring us
- love, peace and hope.
