In no banana republic, in a land too
Egalitarian for the exotic capers like affairs,
The trees are green like all waxing trees,
So the people have no power.
The long-haired proletariat
Far outnumber
The contents of their chariot,
But dynasties always strand themselves--
Under great soldered sails, great swift rugs.
Maybe a plantain
You are rewarded,
If you have succeeded in the pale
Outlawed abroad.
