‘So onward it goes, where it stops, no one knows’
•
This river of life continues to flow
Where it leads, I still don’t know
I’m along for the ride, trying to enjoy the show
God nurtured the seed, and I continue to grow
•
I’m searching for wisdom, though painful lessons to acquire
I’ve had my share of heaven, but I’ve also been through the fire
I continue on, doing all that I require
The future, no longer dark and dire
•
Through all the struggles, the hand dealt in this life
I came out smelling like a rose, through all the pain and strife
I build my treasure in heaven, for the afterlife
•
This story isn’t over, it’s far from done
I’m thankful to my heavenly Father and his Son
Considering the price I paid, it’s fair to say, I’ve won
•
As the sunrises on this monotonous day
Does it sound ungrateful to say it this way?
I love the peace and quiet; I hope it’s here to stay
It’s been a tough road; it made me the man I am today
