You and me, truth be told
We come from the same mold
A friend I can always count on, when it’s dreary and cold
With so much of our lives yet to unfold
•
Side by side the entire way
Watching the sun rise of another beautiful day
Enjoying each others company, per-se?
Memories that can never be taken away
•
A true blessing, that you’re a friend of mine
A gift from above, divine
Piercing through the clouds, you shine
Aged perfectly on the vine, a fine wine
•
We shall walk together until we’re grey and old
The joy and peace we have yet to behold
And we live again, where the streets are gold
