ON THE ISLAND OF THE SUN *

Contributed by venkat on Monday, 1st June 2009 @ 09:09:54 PM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

* * *

When some unheard melodies were heard
In the recess of my heart's blue space
An unseen cave of my soul was opened
Like a tunnel of twilight from my heart
Upwards in a stream of crystalline waters
As I drifted like a dancing wave of thought
Towards the end of that tunnel of twilight
Beyond I saw a wide flaming mouth of a volcano
Later it turned into a huge Orb of splendor
The Sun with his glorious white flames blazing!
Then at once I was cascaded into an ocean
Of nectar where I felt a surge of life within
While swimming in the ocean of moon like nectar
I saw an island of the Sun with dazzling rays,
In the vast realm of the Sun field I reached
The top of a shining ruby mountain, and
Amazed I watched the beauty of amethyst trees,
Emerald plants and sapphire ponds with
Glittering golden lotuses, there after I reached
A cliff of lustrous moon and saw an amazing heart
Shaped rosy bed, blazing with myriads of flames
Minuter than the minutest, finest and subtlest
A seat of heavenly splendor, in the middle of it
I saw the most beautiful maiden, a fascinating nude
Reclining on the bed like the queen of my heaven.
Her graceful movements enchanting and enthralling
Her graceful glances passionate and compassionate
And her limbs radiating rays of a million raising suns
As if the Lord of Heaven Himself assumed the form
Of a maiden to enchant the entire universe, and she
With a sweet laugh, stretched her hands to enfold me
In her embrace and when I was melting with love
In her blissful embrace she whispered in my ear
'I am the Lord of universe, among the hearts who
Love me I have the pleasure and passion to soak them
In my nectar fall of unconditional love and bliss'
And that very moment I looked at that maiden's face
And found it was the Lord Himself who is the Self of all
And whom I embraced with passion and love is identical
To my self then the eternal wisdom dawned in my heart
I realized that I am identical to the self of the Universe
I am the absolute existence, imperishable and I am shining
In the hearts of all beings as I am the light of the universe.

My dearest friend... This is....breathtaking.
It's just marvelous. In a week full of doubt
and pain, this is beauty and light that I
didn't expect to see. Thank you for it.
Thank you for you.

With love,
~dawn

WOW JUST WOW, first let me just say, from a poetical stand point, this could easily have gone form an 8.5 in my book to a 10 with a little bit more pacing and attention!!

But forget that because the images dripping from your inspired words are as mesmeric as they are philosophical. just an amazing array of pure thought put into word form, its as if you just described the very place within that we all search for, the one connected state of being, i totally agree with your beautiful thoughts and sentiments toward the end of this spiraling majestic piece!!

you are a wise person imo, never stop writing,
i was taken away and above all thats what i look for in poetry, the outpouring of emotion and the calculated potency of imagery!!

fantastic work!!!! keep it up!!!
