The victors are full of glorious tales
As they celebrate with their caviar, wine, and snails
Don’t worry; they won’t divulge all the details?
What killing the innocent entails?
•
The victors write the history, we read the book
But some of the details require a second look?
Hidden away in a special nook?
We must learn from errors mistook?
•
There are two sides to every story
You may have to lift a few stones, quarry?
Not all death is full of glory
When the innocent die, it’s rather gory
•
No matter what you do, the truth will be known
What will you say when you stand before the throne?
Will you ask for mercy, will you moan?
You will reap, what you have sown
