Fall from Glory

Contributed by kels497 on Thursday, 27th March 2003 @ 05:45:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Forever more shall darkness rise
And crush the crumbling forlorn cries
And silence all the dying sighs
Of those who came before

All the valiant heroes slain
With their blood the streets are stained
The gastly stench curls up in vain
As seraphs fall to the floor

Orphans wander through the street
Looking for love they'll never meet
As death takes its almighty seat
The throne which it hath tore

Purity now succumbs to sin
Evil finally destined to win
Death himself sports a groteque grin
That tells of unspeakable gore

Almost fits the tune "Scotland shall be free" j

Stumbles on the lilt here and there but
I don't suppose you know the tune

Very good uncompromising sentiment. Strong stuff!

On the same theme try my latest "The first and last commandment"
