And we cross over

My favorite dream always come while I'm awake, during my mid-day reprieve from the Zoloft that gets me out of bed, and the nighttime pills that lull me into a plastic, passionless sleep.
I settle into the grass outside. I greet the sun like a prisoner, crawling toward the small patch of light that seeps into my cell for only a few seconds at each daybreak. I hear the grass rustle around me ears.
Each whisper a word you once said to me.
As my breathing gets deeper; my soul starts to fill slowly, a lazy smile crosses my lips, and a world comes alive as my closed lids dream a world of swirling colors.
We are swirling in a slow-moving tornado of pastels. Our love becomes the very winds
that move this natural work of art, erasing the bodies that keep us separate. We are linked only by our eyes and the force that is our destiny.
We swirl and rise until the earth is no longer beneath me, the cries of the birds on the distant shore's trees call no longer, and the slow, heavy grind of the far off trucks, bearing their crosses of modern progress, fades away.
We are glorious on the other side.
A man's careless yell jerks me back to the ground as a mallard absconds awkwardly with a pinch of bread. My anger subsides as the land-clumsy duck takes flight gracefully, his athletic wings cutting slowly through today's breeze.
I know how he feels.
My solitude a God-given pleasure, these secrets of flight, that no one is alone, as long as you remember how to fly.

I think it is great. I wouldn't change it at all. I love it the way it is.
