anguished
|
I used to look upon you
as the finest of creations
the rolling plains of your form
the subtle story played out
in your smile
in your walk
Oh, how I worshipped you
Goddess Woman of love magic
and I, the faithful
How grateful I was
in the first bask of your love
how painful it was
the first time you showed me
your mockery
your selfishness
Oh, how I cried when you left
to be human in another bed
to touch another man
The trials I went through
to move on and love again
the fires of anger I crossed
to remember the best you had
the dance of movement
the song of escape
Oh, I was a fool again
and fell for a mere statue
my warmth not returned
Again I try to see merit
alas, I already hear the same
- a mild love; a lack of touch -
yes, to wither move so in winter
never to feel more
never to hold hope
Oh, why did such an apparition appear
to make such a Goddess faith
out of mere woman?
