Letter to my sleeping love

Contributed by cyrano on Thursday, 27th March 2003 @ 02:25:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

By Heaven's grace
Most herald fair
With angel glo cross
Star-lit meadow there.

I though left with
Breathless kiss
To moonstruck heights
it's thee I miss
As I ride the early road
In grey dawn
Shadow mist...

Though I wish to
Linger longer
To lie with thee
I take leave and ponder...

Sleep on my sweet
Dream on my love
Till next our lips
Shall meet

Though sometime my words
May graceless be
Still thee I love
To Heaven above

And hold with thee
A tender touch
and things as such

Soon I'll be home
And whisper to thee
My love I'm here
So do not fear

I'll lie next to thee
When day is done
Sleep on my sweet
Dream on my love.

Oh, so sweet..... truly beautiful once again. It's got some great imagery in there. The meadow in stanza one, the mountains in stanza two (atleast, I think you might just be hinting at there being mountains. I don't know, I'm always the last to pick up hints....lol)
"Till next our lips shall meet" is I think my favorite line.

Great work =)
God bless,
Jellybellyprincess
