Is he merely gone
or is he dead
the colour’s washed away
from his heart and head
No longer the panning eye
the whimsy of pen and ink
no more is his wild dreams
or does he seem to think
What happened to the kid
wearing that funny heart on sleeve
when did he finish his coffee
why did he up and leave?
Broken hearted
that much is clear
but the end of passion
who knew it was so near?
He must walk now
a husk of a shallow man
no deep and endless love
no paintbrush in hand
I hope to find him again
and recreate a secret place
somewhere that even alone
colour will light my face.

OHHH! I liked this. So sad, but yet there is a glimmer of hope in there. I hope you find him soon. I can't wait to see what he creates when he's back to himself. :o) Good write. Kudos!
Peace to ya,
Thumper ;o) |
