Stars Hunger: I Was in Theory

Contributed by RitalinKid on Saturday, 23rd May 2009 @ 11:10:24 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

A cloud of apparitions lingered cold and crooked.
Rolling and skipping stones innocence and games.
Because without legs, the ego dies and dies.
Caught myself stealing first with space and time in mind.
Science is that forgetful hole in a forgotten hall.
Your inner hero and the resonating skins' permanence
As easy as I take to the night, a cathodic ray to every shade.
Spectres on spectrum and those loving lighthouse eyes.

Slanted and slight is the man who sleeps beside you.
And hopes for one more taste: HypoPsychoChondriac to immerse
The deepest silence of conjugation and simple mathematics.
I will climb these stairs, I will agree and sin.
I will close these windows and dim the lights.
As I rest my soul and dream of logical, unspeakable but obvious things.
I will climb these stairs.

Dressed in silk wear rags woven by dead eyes.
I will light this book of matches but I will not for any reason.
Stand to watch the fumes, only observe and preserve the remedy:
Which I have choked on and cherished, gated and unreleased.

"This demon waits and slowly caresses each unlit cigarette. A lonely old woman:
caressing her cats in the parlor."

Randomly Natural Selection of what is desired, not compromising,
What is ultimately desirable. Is this how the creature wishes it to be?
I like the way she glows, I suspected this was my only choice.
And as such I kept quiet and waited. The sun will rise on her and again
She will caress her cats in the parlor.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
