Tis the wind blew a summers day
and scattered each blossom far away.
The rains came and washed each petal
they traveled down the nearby gutter.
Tis the wind blew a summers day
all thoughts drifted away.
One will remember come the next eve
of the forgotton blossom washed by the rain.
