Rachel's Empathy

A raindrop falls
From a sullen sky;
A teardrop trickles
From her tender eye;
A snowdrop wakes
From its bed of snows;
Compassionate words
From her heart flows.
As wet as that rain
Or this Woman’s tears,
Both sound like music
To angelic ears.
As white as pure snow
Or her words of love,
Both melt pleasingly
‘Neath the feet of the Dove.
A fledgling sparrow
Fallen from its nest,
An earthquake is felt
Deep within her breast.
A helpless orphan child
In a basket does lie,
She comes to its rescue
In aid of every cry.
Weak is that bird,
As weak is her heart,
She feels its pain
Almost tear her apart.
As alone as that babe
She knelt and prayed
Asking her Father
For His loving aid.

This went straight through me. What an overwhelmingly beautiful
write. There is much in here to be admired, adored and absorbed.
I especially loved this part ...
"A fledgling sparrow
Fallen from its nest,
An earthquake is felt
Deep within her breast."
What a painfully beautiful metaphor. And so wonderfully inspiring.
Beautiful, magical post, my friend.
