I'm ready to dive in deep
To eternal sleep
But I can't seem to close my eyes
My eyes have gone dry I couldn't cry if I tried
But I think it's time
I went to bed
I can't for my mind
Is bouncing around in my head
Making me restless and worn
But my strength is torn
I can't go on, my end is near
I just have one fear
That once I go under
Into my slumber
I'll get in to deep
And I'll never wake from my sleep
I don't know what's worse
Not being able to sleep
Or worrying what will give first
My body or mind I'm in to deep
I need to just sleep

| This poem is quite deep and powerful. I have often wondered if I would be better off going to slee and never waking up. Great job! |
