Could it possibly be so arduous?
If what I think is so conspicuous?
What my mind generates is deemed a sin
Am I then judged to be the evil twin?
On the paper I write, the words are burnt
Of all the torture you have given me, I have learnt
My soul aches as it runs in circles – mile after mile
Not understanding the consequences of your smile
I mayn’t utter a single word of my anguish
My heart and mind each speaks its own language
Words flow in my blood that I cannot comprehend
Making stitches with time, hoping my heart can still mend
My whole being, affected by you, feels completely frayed
Wishing my logic, opposed to madness, had stayed
You wander through the world I have created
And I’m left wondering – could we have dated?
I stand before your door once more – filled with dismay
I keep wondering – this feeling, will it flee or will it stay?
With the first raze of my strength through your eyes
I end up stuttering…. My heart fed to the flies.
