HAPPY BIRTHDAY, YPDC!!

Eight years ago, you opened your door,
And the old site was operational no more!
The former site allowed us the ability to rate
All the poems we thought were so great!
This new site that was born instead,
Allowed us to comment on the work that we read.
And altho' some comments have caused quite a mess,
I enjoy reading and writing them, I must confess.
Webmaster Mick has been working his butt off,
Sometimes he doesn't even have time to cough!
Well that's an exaggeration, I'm sure you realise,
But I think he'll continue until the day it dies.
Many friendships have been formed since your birth,
Many come together from all over this earth,
To share their joys and their sorrow,
To help bring to each other, a brighter tomorrow.
I, for one, am proud to be a member here,
Amidst so many talented people who show that they care.
My stay here at YPDC has been nothing but pleasant,
And I submit this poem as a birthday present.

Jenni, you are one of the very few here that go back with me from the start, I remember the sight being blue,than pink, and now. Mick your the greatest, Jenni, you will always have a home within my heart. Happy brithday YPDC, and Three cheers for Mick. luv and huggs all the way from Afganistan.
