I remember the hug that started it all
I remember when I made the very first call
I remember the lunchtime chat under the tree
I remember how you stared right through me

I remember your face… so close to mine
I remember the smell of Southern Comfort and Lime
I remember the rain on the city lights
I remember two very long Johannesburg flights

I remember lying in bed, playing a question game
I remember the first kiss making me feel lame
I remember making a bet on whether you would phone
I remember, since then, never feeling alone

I remember the news that sounded like the end
I remember that car that you illegally lent
I remember you going down on one knee
I remember you singing… only for me

I remember this, because it’s all about you
I remember everything, for this love is true!

Hi, great poem

I like the rhythm to it and obviously the words... I like the way you've put it all together. It makes me feel like I was there too, and that it was me who experienced all this.
