Falling . . . into you

Afraid to hold too tight, to be too close, to touch too long
I might fall. . . into you
I may find myself in a place I want to stay- I need to stay
A place of seeing me through your eyes, being worthy to love
A place of needing you, wanting you, wanting to be wanted-
by you
falling . . . into you
Afraid to grasp your hand, though it lingers close to mine
Afraid to stare into your eyes because of what I look to find
Afraid to hug too long, I would never let you go
Afraid to whisper your name and let you hear what I know
I think I am falling. . . into. . . you

Your poem creates a wonderful feeling of trepidation and desire. I feel...I'm falling...with you. |
